As I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, my name is Chase Tralka. I am a Junior at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA. I am majoring in Information Sciences and Technology and minoring in Security and Risk Analysis, within the College of Information Sciences and Technology.
My primary interests in photography deal with concert and sports photography, though I also do some more standard photojournalism. I’m always up for a new experience, and have been doing a little more portrait photography as of lately. Basically, I’m willing to try anything. Let me know and we’ll have some fun.
I am active in many aspects of Penn State University student life. I’m the Managing Editor of Onward State, a student-run blog that focuses on the Penn State Community. I am a proud member of the Pennsylvania State Marching Blue Band, where I play the tenor saxophone. I am a Brother in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity and a member of the Penn State Lion Scouts. I also had the privilege of being a Technology Captain for THON 2010, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.
Other than photography, my interests include playing the saxophone, skiing, golfing, driving my Jeep on Nantucket, and playing tennis.
